How we estimate market ranges

We estimate fee-aware market ranges and net spreads from eligible public, licensed and user-enabled signals. Coverage varies by card, language, region and source. Figures are reference estimates for comparison — not a single authoritative price.

• Sold signals. Closed-sale and sold-listing data where available and permitted. Weighted most heavily when building a reference range.
• Ask-side listings. Live marketplace listings. Useful for liquidity and current ask pressure, but weaker than completed sales.
• Dealer shops. Established online card shops with public storefront prices. Treated as ask-side reference and liquidity signal.
• Price aggregators. Public price-history providers used as cross-check and backfill where direct coverage is thin.
• Card catalog (TCGdex). Open Pokémon catalog data for set, number and print variant — so the right card is matched across languages. Catalog data is not used as a market price.

Each figure carries a confidence indicator so you can spot a thin sample versus a well-covered card. Confidence is influenced by sample size, recency, number of independent sources, sold-vs-ask mix, outlier pressure and source agreement. Where the sample allows, outliers and single-seller spikes are trimmed.

Every spread you see is net of modeled fees. The model accounts for:

• Marketplace commission on the sell side (eBay, Cardmarket, TCGplayer include payment processing in their fee)
• Separate payment-processing fees only for off-platform / unknown sell legs
• Inbound shipping from listing data when observed, otherwise a conservative default
• Currency conversion where venues use different currencies
• Buy-side vs sell-side fee treatment — purchase costs and resale costs are modeled separately where relevant

Verified deal rows model import VAT for cross-border buys into EU/UK ship-to destinations. Indicative spreads on card pages and watchlist use a lighter fee model without outbound ship or import VAT. Final net margin may differ because seller status, payment method, shipping service, returns and currency conversion can vary by user and transaction.

Rankings, sorts and deal-style lists use deterministic parameters such as modeled net margin after fees, data confidence, liquidity or freshness signals—not paid seller placement. Unless clearly marked in the product, we do not accept payment from third-party sellers to improve ranking position.

We prioritize quality over quantity. Every deal-style row must clear strict gates — fee-aware net margin, listing evidence, confidence and liquidity signals — before it appears in your feed. Pokémon TCG markets move hour by hour: on quiet days you may see few rows, or none at all, even on Pro. That is normal. We would rather show fewer verified opportunities than flood the feed with weak spreads. Plan limits are caps on how many rows we can show for your tier, not a promise of how many qualified deals exist right now.

TCG Atlas does not sell the listed cards or products and does not guarantee availability, resale value, margin, or successful completion of any third-party transaction. Rankings, scores, labels, alerts and deal-style outputs are automated analytics for your own review — not personal recommendations, investment advice or profit guarantees. Always check the live listing before you buy or sell.

When we name a marketplace or shop, it is only to show where a number came from — not to suggest a partnership. Which sources apply depends on the card, language and region. Examples from selected US, EU, UK and Japan-facing sources we use today:

The mix changes as we add or pause feeds; always check the live listing before you buy or sell.
